You Can Not Talk About God, If You Do Not Know God!
You can not talk about God, if you do not know God! For if you do or, did you would severely misrepresent who He Is!
Experience
is something that enables us to have hope, and with that hope we will not have to be ashamed, because of God’s love shared all over in our hearts by His Holy Spirit. Ref. (Roman 5:3-5). When you talk about someone you do not
know the possibility of being embarrassed is greater by the actual facts which come to light down the road that can be utterly devastating and destructive. When the Lord asked His disciples the question: "who do the people say that I am?" Ref. Mark
8:27
The responses were varied, some said Elias, others said John the Baptist, others said one of the prophets, but Jesus hones in on the disciples more directly with, "but who do you say I am?
Peter hits the nail right on the head and utters "thou are the Christ" vv 29! Jesus commands His disciples not to tell anyone about Him, and He began to teach them about the things He must go through, such as indignities, rejections,
and even death and resurrection. A reality to this is that when you begin to teach someone they begin to form or solidify in their minds more or less who you are, or who you are not. Familiarity fosters a more accurate knowledge of the person or persons and
the subjects or topics one is qualified to talk about. For example if one has no knowledge of electrical installation and attempts to teach someone how to install power lines, their attempts could cost someone their life, and if one has not had a personal
talk with God, they then can not know God, and not knowing Him, disqualifies one from being able to talk about Him. Also not knowing Jesus personally can cost someone or you an eternity life hell!
One is enabled
to talk about God through experiences that can vary from person to person, and most often the experiences do vary. A song writer put it this way:
"I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore, I was
very deeply stained within sinking to rise no more, but the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry, and from the waters He lifted me now safe am I; the song continues on and says when nothing else could help love lifted me." How many of us have been sinking
in issues, drama, depression, finances, and the list can exhaustive, the point is, we go through something and gain an experience no matter how great or small, but it was through our experience we realized and we witnessed first hand God, can and will deliver
if the condition of the heart is right. Enabling you now the ability to look back, to where you were drowning in all of those issues and drama and say if it had not been for the Lord on my side I would have truly drowned, but because the Lord
did not let you drown, you now have a testimony of how good God is, and you know this first hand due to your experience with Him. Now you can talk about God based on your intimate knowledge of Him and His involvement in your life.
If God has reconciled your marriage, you can talk about Him! If God has allowed you to keep a roof over your head, you can talk about Him! When God kept the bullet from leaving the chamber while pointed at your head, you can talk about Him! If you have cancer
that is in remission you can talk about Him! If you have been sentenced to life in prison, but you are free and proclaiming His Word where you are, you can talk about Him! When you can lay your head down and sleep knowing that if you do not wake up, that you
will be spending eternity with the Lord Jesus, you can talk about Him! I can talk about Him, Him being the Lord Jesus Christ, for I have many experiences that qualify me to talk about my LORD, for when you are qualified; the rocks will not have to cry out.
Praises be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
