BREAKFAST AT TIBERIAS

Reference John 21:1-14(NASB)

Jesus has now for the third time manifested Himself to witnesses and His disciples since His resurrection, He was standing on the beach of the sea at Tiberias at the breaking of day. While on the beach it can be surmised that He had prepared a fire for cooking some fish and the making of bread. Jesus while looking out on the sea noticed Peter and other disciples who were on a boat who had gone along with Peter during the night to do some fishing, and during the night they had caught no fish. So Jesus being who He is, speaks to them and states His observation, that they had caught nothing; so Jesus tells them to put their net on the right hand side of the boat. It is amazing when Jesus appears how the conditions, the outlook, and our circumstances change. Jesus tells them to put the net on the right hand side of the boat, and because of their obedience they netted one hundred and fifty three fish, not just fish, but big fish and to top it off the net did not break.

It was after the fish were in the net and the men were having difficulty getting the fish to land, that Jesus said to Peter "it is the Lord", and Peter who was undressed for working put on his outer garment, and dived into the sea to swim toward Jesus. It is so amazing to me that someone can get so excited about Jesus that they would dive into the sea with an urgency just to get to Jesus as quickly as they can. Now the boat was out there a little bit, and Peter left the others in the small boat to deal with the caught fish, for he was going to get to Jesus in a hurry. The others left on the ship struggled, but not in vain, and managed to get the fish they caught to land where Jesus was, and when they got there they found the charcoal already burning with fish on it cooking. Can you imagine Jesus is on the beach with the grill going the fish is smelling good, and He says bring what you got (the fish they caught), I already have fish and bread on the grill, so come and have breakfast with Me. They brought the fish they had caught, but Jesus was already cooking when they got there.

Breakfast at Tiberias with Jesus, should signify to us that when we do as the Lord says do, He has already made and provided the provisions for the task at hand. You see when we go out to fish for souls we may not get what we went out for during the time frame or the location we are in according to how we feel or believe it should happen, they had their net on one side of the boat, and Jesus told them to put it on the right hand side of the boat, we must remember our ways are not His ways and our thoughts are not His thoughts, So what is our right hand side? Our right hand side is wherever Jesus tells us to go and whatever He tells us to do regardless as to how crazy it may sound, and when He tells us to go and do, we should be like Peter, just dive in, and swim toward Jesus! The Word does not say what Jesus does with the fish they caught, but it is the Masters good pleasure to do what He will with the souls (fishers of men) He allows us to catch, for He has called some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints. Ref. Ephesians 4:11

Let’s have breakfast at Tiberias with Jesus, your Tiberias breakfast experience with Jesus will be a meal that will not give you indigestion, you will be filled and thoroughly satisfied and nourished, and it will be a meal to tell others about, so they can come to the breakfast table with Jesus.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and what better way would you have other than starting your day at the breakfast table of Jesus?
