We are living in difficult days, but remember who owns the day, and His name is Jesus
1 John 1:1(NASB)
1"What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—"
What we have heard is often what we listen to, and if one is a child of God, you heard God’s voice either by the words of His Son Jesus via the Holy Spirit, or a witness; e.g. An Apostle,
a Prophet, an Evangelist, a Pastor, or a Teacher, and you listened via obedience and you were delivered from darkness into His(Jesus’s) marvelous light. However If we are listening to too many things our judgement can become cloudy and we will follow
the path that satisfies the will of self, when in reality we should be directing our minds to do what Philippians 2:5 says: "5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus": to submitting in practice by doing God’s will. We cannot have heard from the Lord, seen His works, and
have touched Him with our hearts repentance unto forgiveness, and still continue to do what is against the will of God; for it will destroy our spiritual health!
We have heard the voice of Jesus say: 28"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30"For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matthew
11:28-29. Jesus humbled Himself on our behalf, yes us, you and me, with our sin ridden selves and who were on our way to hell. For if you believe His Word you will attest to the following: 23"for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, 24being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; 25whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation(acceptable atoning sacrifice) in His blood through faith Romans 3:23-26(NASB) .
This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; 26for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier
of the one who has faith in Jesus" Fortunately for us as sinners, somebody prophesied to us that "23For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23" (NASB ). God knew that if we
did not obey His Word, we would forever remain victims of our adversary for I Peter 5:8 states and admonishes us to: 8Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
All will hear the gospel, but will all accept the gospel (good news); not all will! Not all receive due to hardness of their heart, for the apostle put it
this way:
Hebrews 3:15(NLT) 15Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” Once you have heard and obeyed, you will by the power of the Holy Spirit, be able to hear the Lord's voice, for you will not follow a stranger. Reference John 10:3-5(NLT) 3The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4After he has gathered
his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. 5They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice."
For the day will come when the Word will come to your door, and He will knock and call you by name, do not be foolish and not answer or open the door! Invite
Him in and eat what He has to offer; for whatever is put on the table before you to sup, will beyond measure be the best meal you have ever eaten; for if you are hungry and thirsty you surely will be filled. Reference
Matthew
5:6(NASB) 6“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied (the King James Version renders Filled), Revelation 3:19-22(NASB) 19‘Those whom I love,
I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 20‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21‘He
who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”
